Celebrating the essential dignity of all people by making a place in our hearts, our churches, and our societies for those who have been 'labelled disabled'. We evangelize the world and the church so that everyone may know that Jesus walks with us in 'the least of these my brethren'. (ask Mother Teresa/Read Luke 24:13-33&Matt.25:31-46/listen to the Spirit)...
The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them; that's the essence of inhumanity. George Bernard Shaw
The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved - loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves. -Victor Hugo

This is one of my favorite quotes!! I have it on my dissertation inspiration board!
Hi tis
nice to have you visiting
I picked up the quote in Sweden when I was visitng Tro&Tank.
What is the topic of your dissertation? Is there a link to a post on your blog describing your thesis?
I know you are from the liberal side of the camp and I was wondering if you have taken notice of the emergent church movement within evangelical Christianity? Can people like Brian McClaren, Shaine Claiborne and perhaps Jim Wallis, and Tony Campolo make Evangelicalism a relevant force for good news in North America or is this side of the church unsaveable (in your considered opinion)?
Take care and God Bless
Ooooooooooo... that's good! I hadn't heard that one before. I think I will put it up beside my computer. Thanks!
